製品説明
1J To 4J Steel Ball Impact Testing Equipment For EV Connector Mechanical Strength Verification

Product Overview

The steel ball impact device complies with IEC 62196-1:2022 Clause 26.2, Figure 18, Table 13. It is designed to verify the mechanical strength of EV accessories, ensuring they possess sufficient robustness to withstand stresses encountered during installation and regular use.

This instrument supports two test modes: vertical free-fall impact and swing horizontal impact. It features precise measurement, a reasonable structure, and easy operation, making it an ideal testing solution for laboratories, certification bodies, and manufacturers.

Why do EV connectors need steel ball impact testing?

EV connectors are exposed to accidental impacts during installation, transportation, and daily use. The ball impact test verifies that the connector housing and internal components have sufficient mechanical strength to withstand these shocks without cracking, breaking, or failing.

As required by IEC 62196-1:2022, the test uses a standard steel ball (0.535kg) to apply impact energies from 1J to 4J, matching the rated current of the connector. Our SN1206B Steel Ball Impact Device supports both vertical free-fall and swing horizontal impact modes to fully meet these standard requirements.
